This package arrived on Tuesday afternoon. That day, after I came home from work, when I brought the packing box into the house, I smelled a strong odor, but I just thought that the garbage should be taken out and didn't think of anything else. The last few days have been busy with meetings and cooking for the holiday, so the box sat in our laundry room. Today while my mom was here I wanted to show her the bedding our daughter got for Christmas to transform her room. As soon as I opened the shipping box I could smell a strong vinegar smell. I removed the container with the linens in hopes that there would be no problems. Unfortunately, as soon as I opened the plastic bag in which all the linens were expertly folded, I smelled an even stronger vinegar-ammonia smell. Not only does it smell, but the whole ceiling is wet. The label in the plastic bag was so wet it stuck to the plastic and tore. I don't have the time or money to order replacements so I'm trying to wash the sheets to get rid of the smell. I can honestly say this is the first time I've had this issue with something I've ordered from Revain. I don't know why the person who packed it for shipping couldn't smell that smell or the extra weight because the bedding was so damp, but now I'm trying to save as much as possible for a little girl's Christmas present. . The product itself looks exactly like the pictures online and appears to be of good quality except for the vinegar/ammonia smell and moisture that my product contained.
