Let's get down to business. I bought this product in March 2013, it has been working perfectly for several months (or so I thought). However, every few weeks I got a BSOD on Windows 7 64-bit, which I didn't immediately link to this product due to other hardware changes around the same time. Today the blue screen stopped/hangs and I was able to see the file that is causing the error (netwsw00.sys). A google search revealed this to be the driver for the Centrino Wi-Fi adapter. Further investigation showed that this was not uncommon and that older drivers had fixed the problem. I uninstalled/deleted the current drivers as well as the original drivers it reverted to after a reboot. I installed the latest drivers to see if this BSOD issue was resolved, but although the installation went fine, the wireless networks didn't show up. Intel diagnostics showed that the card is either not installed or disabled (although Device Manager shows it is installed correctly). I went back to the disk that came with the card but same result. This diagnostic has shown that the wireless adapter is not bound to any transport protocol. Additional research. A few references here and there on various forums where this issue has been encountered, others have said McAfee or Antivirus is interfering. I use ZoneAlarm and didn't know it but took the plunge and uninstalled it, drivers and all Intel Wi-Fi software. Reboot, install the latest drivers and voila. Internet in bulk! I reinstalled Zonealarm, the internet stayed. It appears that ZoneAlarm (and probably many firewall products) are sandwiched between the adapter driver and the TCP/IP stack. To make it short: uninstall firewall/antivirus, if there are problems with the driver installation, reinstall the firewall after connecting. Above, this adapter works great, it gets the best signal out of all the USB WiFi adapters I've tried.
