Large pouch to store essentials in a medium sized bag. I bought this bag to replace my old small Vera Bradley makeup bag that I had for 5 years. The design has changed. The outside pocket is a great addition for small flat items like a contact lens case. The rounded corners on the top reduce the number of items you can conveniently pack in your bag, so you need to reduce the number of items you carry. Another change is that the loop on the outside of the bag is gone. That's a shame, because if you ditch the handbag and just take a makeup bag, the bag's bulkiness makes it difficult to carry in your hand, while the loop makes it easier to carry.
