Doesn't compress enough to completely stop flow.

Bought for work at a Ford dealer after seeing a similar set on a tool trolley. And decided to try them instead of paying money for a set. They don't grip tight enough to prevent the coolant from draining completely out of the heater hoses, allowing a small stream to escape. I know they are cheap but it was worth it. I'll stick with metal staple pliers or try a set from a tool cart. I'm sure they might work for someone else in a different app, but they didn't work for me. They're pretty solid and don't feel flimsy at all, but just don't grip tight enough.
