I have several pieces from this brand for the first apartment in mine son bought. For the price I'm very impressed so far. The instructions are easy to understand. As with most compact furniture, assembly is a bit fiddly but manageable. The wood produced is dense. The laminate is quite thick and has a textured wood grain. The metal is well covered. Nothing was scratched or damaged during assembly. All thread points had pilot holes and they matched. The stand was sturdy, with screw-in legs that could be adjusted to accommodate uneven floors and protected smooth floors. The shelf featured a dowel-and-screw design, cross support, and a sway bar and anchor straps (especially handy if you have cats). .I think most of the negative reviews may come from over tightening one side before attaching the other side because everything was aligned and we didn't have any cracks or warps. For the price, I'm happy with the look and durability of this piece of furniture. .
