I originally had a 5x7 rug under my treadmill but it did not offer much comfort on the hard basement floor. This was a great replacement and feels nice and cushion-y under my feet. It also leaves just enough room next to the treadmill to do some floor or weight work if needed. If you have a treadmill and some weights, I think 2 mats next to each other would make a great home gym! I may order a second in the future! It also comes with a carrying bag if you plan to roll it up and store or travel with it, which is super nice!
