I'm not sure what magic this ball is made of, but it surpassed mine and my husband's expectations. My husband works on his feet, sometimes 12-14 hours a day. His feet are always sore, and he said it sometimes looks like plantar fasciitis. He used our daughter's carrot tomato (play food for her kitchen) for his leg and I was very unhappy with it. We have a foam roller that was one of our best purchases (really back, hips, legs, whatever. They're awesome!) so I was hoping Revain would have something similar for the legs. I found this little gem and saw all the great reviews. I read it and frankly I doubted it. Didn't see how it could help but thought it would be cheap ($5-6 at the time of ordering) so why not try it. My husband used it as soon as it got here. He said that just 5 minutes makes a big difference. He loves to! He also has a sore arm (he had surgery to free his Gajon and Carpal Tunnels and is awaiting the same surgery on the other) and this is helping to alleviate it. I also suffer from pain in my hand, arthritis in my thumb joint and what appears to be carpal tunnel pain. This little ball also works wonders for my pain relief. It doesn't last long, but it's a welcome instant pain reliever. I also have muscle pain in my shoulder blades and lower back. Because my husband's hands hurt, he can't rub my back often. He can rub my back with it and at the same time he massages his hand. Two birds with one stone, one shot! I have used this ball on my thighs, outer thighs, calves and shoulders. basically anywhere you can imagine. We'll get at least one more, maybe 2. Such great value for money.
