You could see it when I took it out of the box. It was significantly heavier than the stock filter I had on my C7 Corvette. Then the real test and sign of a filter's true quality is how much light can be seen through it. Seeing a lot of light is bad (thinner and less dense material), while seeing less light is good (thicker filter media). By holding both (OEM and Fram) close to the light I could easily see the light through the OEM filter but not through the Fram Freshbreeze. In fact, I couldn't see any light, which means there's a lot of thick filter material to keep those harmful substances out. Another bonus is that it's a lot cheaper than an OEM filter. And yes, it fits my C7 Corvette.
