The speaker is quite solid and durable. First charged for 5 hours as instructed and lasted 8.5 hours on low to medium volume. It has excellent sound quality with deep bass. More bass, you'll get tired of that like the Soundlink Mini. It actually sounds better with less bass and more mid/treble, so the speaker is proportionally louder. I want it to sound more balanced like my TDK A33, more bassy but more neutral. I definitely like the bass, but not overly accentuated like Bose or the Sonys. Another issue with this speaker is that for 20 watts I expected it to be louder. My TDK A33 has 15 watts of power, great sound, muted sound throughout the volume range and loud enough to fill a medium to large sized room with good sound. This is the same issue as the X5 which I returned and received a Creative Roar. But for $72 in an open box, it's definitely worth it. Don't get me wrong, there's no other speaker this size that sounds as good, but it's definitely not outdoors unless you're sitting in close proximity. If there was only one speaker in my budget, this wouldn't be there. Luckily I have 12 more, each with their own pros and cons. However, due to its good price it is a good addition as I would not pay 200 for a Bose Mini due to its artificial bass and tone. So this one would be good for a bedroom or a backyard table where we sit at as it has a small footprint.
