Review on Vintage Women's Steampunk Gothic Victorian Party Skirt by Belle Poque: A Perfect Gypsy Hippie Attire with a Dash of Retro Charm by Kari Reynolds

I bought this skirt for the Renaissance Festival. That's great. Love it, it fits true to size. I love it and will wear it almost everywhere. I will focus on the size because I had a really hard time deciding which size to order. I went for a large size but the medium fits due to the stretchy material. If you're in between sizes (like me), consider ordering a size down. I am 5ft 4in and weigh 148lbs. I wear size 10 or 12 (M) for skirts and L or XL for tops. Looking at the photo I was concerned that it might be too tight in the waist. The sizing chart indicated a medium fit with a 29" waist and that's not me (wish I was a 29" waist). The top of the skirt, which lies flat at the waist, measures 16.5 inches. So if you're having trouble deciding on a size, order one of your skirts and measure it. The skirt is shorter in the front than in the picture, but not too short. I'll be wearing it with black tights and Renaissance boots, but for a fun day or happy hour I might see myself in this very elegant skirt with light leggings and sandals. I almost didn't order this skirt as I'm a bit older but I'm glad I did. I don't feel stupid about it. My friends like it too. Hope that helps!
