I have two computers side by side, one is my Linux server and the other is a universal Windows 10 computer, both home built. I use a Linux machine both as a server and as an astronomical imaging device, and the Windows machine is mainly for MSOffice and the occasional FlightGear flight. I've tried using LibreOffice on both a Linux computer and Windows virtual machines, and while both methods work well, I'd prefer to work directly on the native Windows platform for certain things. If Libre was 100% compatible with MSOffice I would stick with it, but since it isn't I thought it best to stay compatible with the rest of the world. Which up to now has meant physically moving to another car and then going back to another to finish or whatever. I've also used NoMachine to run it on another computer (both ways), but that exposes you to software bugs, which aren't many. And I freed my keyboard, mouse and monitor! This little box works great - the Linux PC is happy, the Windows PC is happy and so am I. I just plugged in the cables, plugged my Logitech Unifying receiver into the KVM's kybd port and it worked. I used my own HDMI cables as I didn't need the 5ft length that came with the KVM. The hotkey was a bit confusing at first, until I figured out that <Home><Home> literally meant double-pressing Home (it's clearly stated in the brochure if I really bothered to read it - lol). Anyway, so far so good.
