Count on a few hours of installation time. I consider myself quite gifted - I do assembly and electrical work as part of my daily job, as well as maintaining my bikes and motorbikes. However, I did not do any maintenance on the car, not even an oil change. With that in mind, here are the cons: - The panels on the car were VERY difficult to remove - I had to figure it out myself. The instructions are not written for Mazda 2, but close. I was nervous because I was worried that the plate might break. - No grommet is required to route the battery + wires through the vehicle frame - purchase a 3/16" ID grommet prior to installation - Built in connectors aren't as good (requires a crimping tool to crimp properly) . Nuts for cables would be better - shrink tubing for weather protection is not included Battery + connections. Seems unsure to me. I'll get the shrink tubing as soon as possible - the instructions say that you have to tape the control box with double-sided tape. to the car. For me it was impossible because of the short wires. 1 more foot on the wires would have made it possible. A better solution than double tape doesn't hurt either. (after removing the panels) - It works! Everything worked the first time. Let's see how it holds up over time. Conclusion: - I recommend it to anyone who is handy and willing to spend a few hours with it Everyone else beware, I would buy again.
