I hooked mine up to Ultrasonic. Works great

Nice little block. I use it to detect the presence of people. I've found that the IR sensor loses track of a standing person, so I paired it with an ultrasonic sensor. The resulting combination feels a person's presence well (for me) and turns my machine on and off reliably.
