I love everything about this lamp/magnifying glass. But I see room for improvement. The arm is strong, stable and stays where you put it even when fully extended. The light is bright enough and side glare is minimal, but that's not a problem since you're always looking through the center. The magnifying glass is very good. The dust cap is a nice touch, as is the duster. The only improvement I want to make is make. Increase the lens in both diameter and magnifying power. In its current form, the lens should be about 8 inches from your work for maximum clarity. I hit the lamp with the tip of the tool while adding small details to the model at least 50 times. You can move the lamp away, but the magnification will be so exaggerated that it's hard to see. You get so into the smallest details of your work that you lose things or knock them down. With a bit more magnification built into the lens itself, rather than relying on optical exaggeration from further away, you'll have a larger workspace with more clarity and this will be a great tool. It's very good as it is.
