The sound quality is normal, especially for its size. It's not very powerful, but it has decent volume and bass/treble controls. The speaker wire connections are solid. and the RCA inputs are on the back so it all looks nice and solid. There are a couple of well-sized connectors inside, and anything that sticks out of the board has a good layer of adhesive on it that provides good protection for inward movement. It's good. Poorly. literally EVERYTHING Bluetooth related spoils this device for my purposes. I bought it to route my laptop audio through external speakers while working, so video conferencing and general PC audio was the goal. When Bluetooth is on and connected, the device appears to be sending a play command, so pairing it with a laptop will launch the YouTube background page or music player. I haven't found a way to disable this in the device. Also, the latency is terrible. I mean unsuitable for anything that requires visual syncing. There is also some sort of built in feedback when using Bluetooth as I would get significant noise from the RCA channels if they were not connected. You also can't disable Bluetooth if you only want to use RCA. Links. This is a serious problem because when the Bluetooth module is turned on, it interferes with signals from other devices. If this was enabled, my Bluetooth mouse would become very sluggish and miss clicks. This rendered it useless even when using RCA connectors to reduce latency. Unfortunately, the buttons on the front are pretty chunky. They don't have smooth movement and tend to get stuck in places other than the middle detent. Because of these problems, they were practically unusable. I finally took it apart (from this I can tell the internals of the board are pretty well put together) and detached the bluetooth module from the board. This modification eliminated all problems except for a short movement of the handle.
