Review on Canon PowerShot Digital Stabilized 2 7 Inch by Vincent Lott

The Cannon POWER SHOT A2500 is advertised as 'Point and Shoot' so I researched the camera for my own use. I had a Panasonic HM-TA2, which was great for basic point-and-shoot shooting, but it broke in an accidental bump this winter (don't ask). The Panasonic was basically a point and shoot, with not many changes, just a few options, the only downside being the battery isn't swappable. I wanted to find an inexpensive POINT AND SSHOT and this camera caught my eye. You really have to look at what they say or even look at the INSTRUCTION MANUAL to understand this camera. POINT AND SHOT - Yes, in AUTO MODE this is a very good point and shoot camera. All you have to do is point the camera. Even in video mode, there's a video-only button and, yes, point and shoot video. The camera has an actual 5x OPTICAL zoom and can then zoom up to a 15x DIGITAL zoom. Optical zoom quality is good and digital zoom can be good to not the best, but remember it all depends on the lighting conditions and distance and when zooming in you need to be absolutely STILL with no shaking or shaking move. BUT, if you want to use POINT AND SHOT to access some image processes, you can also use this one to make changes, and this is where the USER MANUAL comes in very handy. This camera allows you to set various settings ranging from telephoto to self-timer to various optical image results. It's honestly a lot for a camera, for the price, point-and-shoot, and with the ability to customize the camera to suit your needs. When it's off, the lens automatically retracts into the case and you can just slip it in your pocket. The weight of the camera is light, so you don't feel uncomfortable carrying a heavy camera around, which is a plus when you're on vacation. I like the fact that the battery is swappable so you can use extra batteries and the memory cards are extremely easy to swap out. Well what you get is you get a camera in the box, a charger and a battery. It may seem strange to you that no memory card is included, but there are too many options to choose a good memory card and clearly understand that the camera has NO built-in MEMORY. YOU MUST BUY A MEMORY CARD TO TAKE A PHOTO. There are several classes of memory cards, and if you don't want to use fast photography (10 frames in rapid fire mode), class 4 is fine. On the other hand, considering aspiring filmmakers, class 10 would be a good choice for FILM shooting. You also don't get any cables. I did not quite understand. You may need two cables. One to connect the camera to a computer and one to connect the camera to a TV if needed. You also don't get an external power supply, but the camera does have a place to plug it in. The camera is interesting for shooting in low light, and the camera has a small flash built in, which is handy for close-up shots. An optional HIGH POWER flash is available if you find you need that flash distance. All in all, before you run out and buy all those accessories you might not need, use the camera and get used to it. and then decide what you need. You need to download the user guide from the Cannon website and then take the time to learn how to use the options. Again, if all you want is a good point and shot, you'll probably never look at the user manual, but if you want to play around with the options, the USER MANUAL is your friend. Look for the best price, but also think about accessories. All you have to do is make the camera work and buy the best deal. I found a site where the camera was very cheap but the accessories were overpriced. Whether you are a POINT AND SHOT or you want to set up your camera to take pictures, this camera can help you with your shots. See also the illustrations on UTUBE for a better understanding. Also look online for Canon A2500 REVIEWS where people and rating agencies actually took the camera out to see what it would do. Where they show taken photos, they all look GREAT! For those using a camera like the one I've had, it might seem a bit excessive for point and shoot, but after you've snapped a few shots in AUTO mode, it's as easy as pressing a button. It's a good choice for a basic camera, and a good choice for an entry-level camera for those who like customization or are new to cameras. There are other cameras too.
