*Bottom line: just buy the compressor!* Not sure why folks knock down a quality product because it was hard to install. That's like leaving a bad review for steak because you left your dentures at home! This is not for the faint of heart. Got an open box version for $20 so it was worth a shot. Just know you will have to take the compressor out anyways. To get to it you will need to remove the alternator and then the ac lines. Prepare accordingly with refill cans for afterwards. To remove the clutch but you will need an impact gun or this crazy looking tool ($20). Take the nut off and now the real fun begins! Once you have this out there will be two different sets of snap rings that are a monster to get out. The outside one that holds the pulley is not so bad but the inner one that holds the magnet on is a nightmare. I had to buy these $30 ones from channel lock because they were long enough to get down in there. Even then I had to grind them down so they would fit way down in the ring of the magnet. *The new pulley will not fit on the OEM magnet!*. No amount of "persuasion" will make it so. The OEM magnet and the pulley both have to come off and then the new magnet and pulley have to get out back in. For reseating the snap ring use a big socket and tap it in place with a hammer. Now tighten your nut back on with either your impact wrench or your shmancy clutch removal tool and a socket wrench. This nut does not need a lot of torque.15-20 lbs or so. Don't be like me and strip the hell out of it. Once you are all back to together, just do a reverse of your removal. Refill your a/c with pag oil and freon and then you are good to go.or maybe not as in my case.Afterwards my ac worked for awhile and then started running not as cold unless I was feeding it high revs like on the highway. Then it started shuddering at idle when the ac would kick on as if the compressor was struggling to spin. Now I realize the reason why my clutch started slipping in the first place was because my AC pump was starting to seize up and it was making it to hard for that clutch to turn. Lesson learned. Yet another 100 degree day here in TX and I was pissed.all of that work for nothing! So now I'm looking on Walmart for compressors. There is one on here that will sell the compressor and all of the components and oil for $192. That's one helluva deal and one I wish I would've made at the beginning of this journey. Great, high quality project, but ask yourself: why did my clutch go out? Chances are it's because the compressor was dying anyways. Just for the love of God.change the compressor! I hope this helps someone.
