The case itself isn't that bad and strong enough, but there are a number of quality issues that make it deserve such a low rating. At first the instructions weren't very clear in my opinion, but they were manageable. There were a few nicks on the parts themselves that needed touching up and it appeared there were some other areas that had already been touched up (or possibly painted unevenly) in some way. The stickers (used to cover the screw heads) were also missing, so some of the screws are still visible. I would expect things like that from a closet in this price range, right? But the main thing that got me such a bad score: One set of holes was drilled completely wrong, preventing me from attaching one of the shelves (on one of the sides). Bought for my mother and installed at her house. Now she can't use the shelf until I drive 70 miles to get a drill and redrill the holes. If I could return it on principle, I would. But now it's assembled at her house, so I guess just organize it, huh? >:(
