Bad filters, too much cleaning work.
The filters used to work well, but carbon particles seeped into the water to such an extent that the water turned black. The pump quickly became moldy and had to be replaced twice with the same result. Difficult to clean, too many parts, even if you do it weekly or more, it's a chore. I went back to the porcelain bowl and changed the water twice a day.
