I have a touch lamp of the same style and manufacture (3 different brightness levels - 1 per touch) and the brightest on that one is brighter than on this one turned on all the way. Both have the same nuances. In fact, the only difference is that it has a dial instead of a touch one and 2 slots for phones. I bought this one to replace the touch version because after I moved that one, it either got damaged somehow (even though I put it in the original box it came in and another well padded box) or there are some -something in my building that causes it to turn on, cycle through three levels of brightness, then turn off and repeat. But I LOVE the look of these lamps, I'm just not sure if there are other lamp options that could be brighter.
