Review on πŸ‘‘ Women's Lightweight Flip Flop Shoes - Teva Universal Strapping by Joe Taniguchi

Design flaw good for Athletic

I was so happy to find leather Tevas in my size (5). I have an old, vintage pair of Tevas leather boots, one of the few pairs of shoes I can wear now due to severe foot arthritis. They look very nice on the web and not bad live, but there are issues with the design. First, they are difficult to adjust to a wider foot because the huge Velcro on the ankle strap is positioned so it doesn't go through the triangular ring, so the ankle hole doesn't open wide. Second, the velcro on the toe strap covers the entire bottom half of the strap all the way down to the insole so unless you have a very narrow foot it will be noticeable. Not that pretty. It's painted the perfect color so I might take a chance if everything else could be found. But the Velcro fastener also picks up fluff and small dirt particles over time, which I don't want to show on the go. Then comes the problem with the triangular ring on the outside of the ankle. Even though it's covered in leather, it presses against my ankle and rubs against it. Not comfortable. Finally, the off-white insole is not the best color choice. I suppose it needs frequent cleaning, although I could manage that if the rest of the sandal was in order.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
