Possibly suitable for municipal water, but tends to clog when used in a well.

5 micron polypropylene sediment filter. We're at the well and there's too much sediment clogging it up very quickly. I prefer string filters for our application. I really thought they might be wrapped when I bought it, it's hard to tell from the pictures but it's not.
