These glow sticks are great for my purposes1 As a retired chemistry professor and avid outdoor enthusiast, I have used cheluminescent items like this for many years. This collection has given me the greatest variety and lowest unit price. I used to use them in a classroom context, now I mainly use them on camping trips with my grandkids. The kids never seem to get tired. Slow radiation is actually quite long. We've found that if they're placed in the freezer after first use, even though they're darker, they can be taken out and used on subsequent nights. If bright light is your goal, they are not a good substitute for a good flashlight. They're great for colorful entertainment in a darkened room.
