You get what you pay for. I was looking to upgrade my four person Kelty tent. When I realized that 8 people get 600+ on average, I started looking for cheaper options. The tent is the house. He must feel at home. Under no circumstances should you save on accommodation. When I received the slightly dented box everything looked practically new except for the stands. They looked used. They were shabby and dirty. I was going to camp in 3 days so didn't have time to send it back and everything else looked fine. It has withstood the rain without leaking. Camping in Michigan for 5 nights in late June. It stormed several times. rain ok The wind made me a little worried that I would be blown away. In the heat of the day, it's impossible to air out this tent and still retain at least some privacy. In fact, there are even "holes" on each side of the door where the mesh and rain cover don't quite touch, allowing someone at the right angle to look straight in. these corners when I change clothes. I'm sure some still had the show until I found out! This tent is like a moth magnet. Even with the lights off, moths were attracted to this tent. I felt like I was in a horror movie watching them all, laying down and trying to sleep after catching a few and putting them outside. I have no idea how they got in and then into the tent. There must be a hole somewhere that I can't find. During disassembly, one of the pillars broke. I think sticks should last at least a few times before breaking. Just to reiterate, I think it was a used tent that I got stuck on. Overall I am very disappointed that I spent $300 on this tent. The reviews were great. I even found it in consumer reviews so I bought it. Just very disappointed in the quality. I don't expect this one to endure many uses. Save $300 and invest in the best company.
