Put it up in your yard the day you arrive. Installation was easy thanks to the colored rods/pockets. It took a few minutes to figure out the rain cover because it's so big but has a nice design. I haven't used them in the backyard, but I would use the reflective orange cords to secure the rain cover with pegs even if no hurricane winds are forecast. The 3 person tent was updated because we needed more space to comfortably spend time in the tent (2 adults and a 5 year old). We have used it 3 times so far and have been very happy with the performance. I've been waiting to write this review as we've used this tent a number of times and in a variety of conditions. We've had this tent for two years now and have used it for camping in 5 states. For a family of four we like it, although not ideal. We use this tent for trips longer than 3 days as it is not very quick to set up.
