I love this tent and look forward to many more nights in the woods or on the beach.

I love this tent! I (a 71 year old grandmother) took my 3 granddaughters and their friend (ages 4 to 12) on a 4 day hike in the Sierra National Forest in California. On a previous trip with them, my (9' x 9') tent was so narrow I bought this one. We had plenty of space including a bag of clothes for each person. There was plenty of room for the girls to play inside if they wanted to. The door was easy enough for all of us, including a 4 year old, to zip and unzip. The eldest granddaughter found that when you put your hand in the tent to open it, it doesn't stick to the valve. All the girls helped me with the settings and recording and the process was very easy. I really appreciated the included Guy controls. There were no problems getting the guy lines to the right length. I will buy these regulators for all my other tents. Like the review I read before purchasing, I found the inserts less than useful. Too short for such a large tent, they were pulled out of the ground and the angle at the top was too great to hold securely. However, I, an intrepid hiker, bought a bunch of yellow, large, thick plastic stakes a long time ago. Whimpy tent poles have been used in new tent boxes for decades. They didn't even work with guy lines because the guys have to be tight. I have smaller yellow plastic pins for stretch marks. I process the provided shares. Tent manufacturers should just forget about tariffs and lower the price of tents. I have never heard of this tent manufacturer. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the floor. My 9ft x 9ft tent from a well-known manufacturer was only used twice and has numerous holes in the floor. I lent it to someone who doesn't seem to have used a tarp underneath. But they only camped 2 nights and still managed to crawl it. The main reason I'm sure is that the fabric of the floor is very thin and fragile. Not this floor. To make a hole you need to take a knife. The only problem I had with this tent was that because it was long, it only fit the campground in one direction. Because of this I had to walk around or go under guy wires to get into the tent. This is of course not the fault of the manufacturer. It's just a problem for me to solve next time I use it. However, this is something to be aware of. Not all campgrounds can accommodate a tent of this size and it would be wise to check the campground size when planning your trip. Another complaint I read was about the ventilation. I would imagine this could be an issue in wet and warm conditions. I probably never camp somewhere where humidity or temperature is an issue. However, I bought this tent specifically because it is WATERPROOF. Most of my campsites are on the California coast and in the Sierra Nevada, and afternoon showers can be challenging in the mountains. With my granddaughters, I never want a trip to be ruined by a leaking tent leaving them and everything else wet and cold. Other tent manufacturers will tell you their tents are waterproof, but they are not. They are extremely waterproof. Most tent flies don't descend far enough to wash water down the side of a waterproof bathtub floor. This tent has a full coverage waterproof rain cover just like my camping tent. I have another trip plan for Sequoia National Park in October. Just me and two other ladies. We need to bring megaphones to communicate.

Pros

Cons
