This cooktop was purchased to replace a GE cooktop which has probably been in our home since it was built in 2002. It fit perfectly and my husband found it pretty easy to connect. it was a little thicker in depth so I had to grab some cooking utensils from the drawer underneath, but that didn't really matter. I personally love the look of the stainless steel knobs compared to my old plain black ones. I've had a cooktop for 3 years (when we moved into our house) and I've found that as long as you keep it clean it stays really nice after it cools down after cooking, and others have mentioned that pots and pans Pans do not slip. Instead, lift them over the hob to avoid scratching them. If this one lasts as long as the last one, it's definitely good value for money.
