The size does not match the description

I bought this item because it specifically states that it is ideal for 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. I have now tried to solve 2 puzzles with this article and none of them have worked. When I pulled out the tape measure, the item is 2 inches smaller than the description (1 1/2 inches end to end). Definitely not recommended unless you are assembling jigsaw puzzles of 750 pieces or less. However, drawers are useful
