We became the owners of a new cat who once protected us walking home from the park. At first I found the collar would come off about once a day (this is a cat that only walks outside) but after about a week or two it stopped falling off. I suspect he may have broken it himself as he wasn't used to wearing a collar. ANYWAY, since he's lost it a number of times, I was very appreciative of the luminous/reflective properties of this collar. Found in a neighbor's driveway after dark, no problem. Unfortunately, about a month or two after we had the collar, our cat somehow managed to lose it on a nearby, fairly busy street at the end of our cul-de-sac. It was destroyed. :( Luckily the cat is fine. I don't know how he managed to lose her in the middle of the road. Anyway, although I liked this collar I'll try another one and see if we can do it to keep it I wouldn't want to buy a new $12 collar every month although it's well made and probably better suited to an indoor cat who doesn't lose it that much.
