Switched from NutriBerries to prevent moth problems

My gray parrot loved NutriBerries especially Fruit Delight or Sunny Orchard. As I have quite a few parrots I bought them in bulk, in 20 pound boxes which would last about 6 weeks. However, I started having problems with moths. Apparently, Lafeber doesn't process the grains they use, and they often contain moth eggs. This shouldn't be a problem if you buy in small quantities and use the product quickly. If you don't do this, you will end up giving birth to many moths which, once in your home, will cause massive damage to clothing, other food, etc. Because of this, I had to switch to pellet berries. It's a good enough substitute. However, the birds don't seem to enjoy the taste that much, but it otherwise saves a lot of money from the damage the moths will do. It took over a year to fix the Word to the wise moth problem.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
