Review on πŸ’‘ Enhanced Lighting Experience: Dimmable Rotatable Maxxima Retrofit Downlight by Sean Bouchard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good light but poor design

I installed it on a sloping ceiling in my home gym. The existing glass light was non-directional and shone into your eyes because it was at an angle. I was hoping this would solve my problem. It's not like this. Oh, another reviewer said that it only has one axis for the eye to adjust on and it can only be moved forward/backward. It is not true. In addition to the reciprocating movement of the eye, the inner light of the eye can rotate. Therefore, you can point it in any direction. Pros: low cost, value for money, brightness. Cons: Because of the design, even if it's pointing to the side, the light will bounce off the inside of the white case, keeping the bright light in the opposite direction of what you have inside. denotes "eye". See pictures. First, light reflected from the inner case is shown. The second shows with black electrical tape. To temporarily solve the problem, I put black tape on the inner rim to reduce glare. I'll probably ship back and get a real fisheye case to avoid this problem.
