Good characteristics. Ghosts on a dimmer

I bought this for the hanging feature. I installed a Leviton DSL06-1LZ dimmer with settings for CFL and LED. When off, the light emits a "ghostly" glow. I thought my diff might be bad so I switched off the Maxxima light with a modified LVWIT LED which I use on another dimmer which is also a Leviton DSL06-1LZ. LVWIT works fine and turns off when the dimmer is turned on. I was looking forward to this lamp and it is a pity that it has to be returned. When installed, everything works fine, as doโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Only available in black

Bright, rotatable and easy to install. However, there are several questions.

Works as advertised and easy to install with instructions included. As other reviews have noted, the light rotates, but the line it rotates on depends on the position of the torsion spring mounts inside the recessed box already installed. So it's a matter of luck that the light is pointing in the right direction. Direction. Another small issue is that the light isn't placed as close to the ceiling as we'd like. The 11W/4000K light is much brighter than the 65W incandescent it replaced. I am soโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Good light but poor design

I installed it on a sloping ceiling in my home gym. The existing glass light was non-directional and shone into your eyes because it was at an angle. I was hoping this would solve my problem. It's not like this. Oh, another reviewer said that it only has one axis for the eye to adjust on and it can only be moved forward/backward. It is not true. In addition to the reciprocating movement of the eye, the inner light of the eye can rotate. Therefore, you can point it in any direction. Pros: lowโ€ฆ

Very easy to install. 4000K light color is perfect.

I've always wondered why the shops sell 2700K (too yellow) or 5000K (too white) lamps. Maxxima's Neutral White 4000K is PERFECT in my opinion. It gives a natural look that doesn't make everything look antiseptic like under neon lights and doesn't make everything look too yellow like we still light our homes with torches. In addition, the installation was very easy. It literally took 5 minutes and everything came together perfectly. The pendant light's rotation adjustment isn't the smoothestโ€ฆ

Tight, but not a cigar!

The good news is that this is a very good value LED light for retrofitting existing 5" or 6" rear housings. The bad news is that this is only 1/2 of a good fixture. Although it is easy to install and the light comes on on a gimbal. There's no adjustment to rotate the light from side to side to aim it at a wall at a different angle. In short, you will get stuck at every angle. The light installs using the existing rear brackets, meaning there's little chance of this light being aimed at the wall

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
