Review on Large New Renaissance Professional Chalk Painting and Wax Brush with Natural Bristles by Jared Bradford

The bristles came out while painting

I bought this brush specifically for chalk paint and wax. I had never worked with chalk paint before and wanted the very best tools. I was completely upset when I saw the loose bristles coming out on the first layer when I went back for the second layer. I had to get them out of the dried paint; but Layer 2 covered the tracks, so all is not lost. But the worst part was that when applying the first layer of wax, bristles appeared in the paint. At the moment I either had to leave it alone or pick out the bristles from 2 coats of dried paint. I picked a couple and left a couple. I'm hoping the wax will even out the stains because I just don't have the strength to touch up the paint, especially as I have to remove the wax and take over the paint. I used a regular wax brush and it worked well. I have one more piece to paint - I'll be using a regular brush that I know doesn't shed the bristles (my beauty). No matter how much this brush cost, it should have drawn my piece for me! I would send it back but it's dark blue color that didn't come off completely when I used it. I am not giving any stars for durability as I will never use this brush again so I have no idea how long it will last with repeated use. Buyer Warning.
