Very happy with my purchase. Low shed if you follow the directions!

I bought this brush to paint on wooden boards with chalk and to fix furniture. Works really great. You will get a few loose strands at first, but if you follow the primer directions, 99% of the loose fibers will come out during the primer. This is now my favorite brush for large projects. It sheds a lot less than other cheaper brushes like this one. It was more expensive than I wanted to spend but I'm glad I spent some money on this chalk brush. Instead of buying 3 or 4 cheaper options and…

Amazing for furniture!

We just used this brush on our first furniture project (to give new life to an old dresser for our daughter's nursery) and I'm SO impressed. This gives a much more flawless and cleaner coloring compared to the regular brushes I made in the beginning. I've heard that it makes the lines less visible, and it wasn't until I saw it that I believed it. Definitely stick with this brush for all future projects. Be sure to prepare it the day before painting as indicated on the box. I only lost a hair…

As good as Annie Sloane?!?

I confess that I am not an artist and am just starting out in the world of chalk paint. However, I have an Annie Sloan brush and as far as I can tell it works just as well as Annie Sloan. Annie comments on her website that other brushes don't have bristles in the center, but that's not the case. As far as I can tell, and again I'm no expert, this is perfectly acceptable. What I like about her more than Annie Sloane is that she has something to dry about that can't be said of Annie's brushes…

Worked great but beware of falling stubble

This was my first foray into repairing any type of furniture. I knew I wanted to draw with chalk and then apply wax. Since I wanted to create a rustic shabby look I knew I needed a clear wax and then a dark wax if I didn't want too much dark depth (obviously if you go straight to a dark wax with no clear wax that gets the color quite intense). So I had to buy an extra wax brush (this one) to apply the dark wax. I've learned that you can't switch between clear and dark wax with one brush, so…

The bristles came out while painting

I bought this brush specifically for chalk paint and wax. I had never worked with chalk paint before and wanted the very best tools. I was completely upset when I saw the loose bristles coming out on the first layer when I went back for the second layer. I had to get them out of the dried paint; but Layer 2 covered the tracks, so all is not lost. But the worst part was that when applying the first layer of wax, bristles appeared in the paint. At the moment I either had to leave it alone or pick

Really good brush!

I honestly think this company made it and I have no idea how. Especially considering the price! I've had this brush for a long time; I use it for small projects and am very happy with it so far. It is very comfortable to hold in hand, it is light. It is of excellent quality. A molt is expected. However, I experienced the bare minimum. Actually a lot smaller than some of my more expensive brushes. I'll say that (and I think that's why some of the other reviewers complained about the spillage)…

REQUIRED for drawing with chalk and wax.

I've recently started painting my very worn wooden kitchen cabinets with chalk paint. I came across a couple of reviews that said I should use this round brush style instead of the default brush. I was a little skeptical about the whole concept of chalk drawing and even more skeptical about the need for a 'special' brush. But eiho is a penny a pound (as they say in England) so I ordered 2 of these brushes - one for chalk drawing and one for waxing. I followed the brush prep instructions before…
