Review on 🔘 Roylco Inc. Super Size Buttons 60/Pkg. by Karla Richter

These buttons are very well made and the perfect size for little fingers. However, despite the size of the buttons, they pose a potential choking hazard, so young children should be supervised. The colors are vibrant and I really like that they don't have that horrible "cheap toxic plastic" smell that some other plastic products for kids have. The seller states that the buttons are great for "threading, sorting, gluing or counting"! I find the holes too small for toddlers to thread. An older child can stretch them with dental plaster or an equally thin thread. Buttons come in a variety of shapes, making them ideal for teaching children about shapes. In addition, they are not too big, which helps to develop fine motor skills. I don't find them ideal for sorting because, as the seller states in the product description, "shapes and colors may vary". Shapes and colors vary greatly! Sorting so many differences will be difficult. In some cases, all shapes can be represented in a certain color, but in the end you get a red triangle, there are no blue triangles, but six red ones, and so on. I will actually buy a second pack to try and get enough of the type I originally bought it for. I'm hoping I can find enough of each color and shape to do a decent sort.
