Ideal for spit roasting
I checked this out at a local store, the price at the grocery and hardware store was ridiculous for the amount of thread. This ball has enough yarn to last almost a lifetime at a great price. I use it regularly for tying chickens and sorting roasts to put the roaster on a skewer. The yarn holds up well, does not burn out. I used an empty plastic container from a bird seed store that had a large blob of fat in it to hold the string and keep it clean. I drilled a hole in the top and threaded the string through the hole, then cut what I needed. Prevents raw chicken manure from getting on the ball.
