Works perfectly! - Replacement Screens

Edited two and a half years later just to say it still works great! It was the first time I did something like this and it worked great. I did not remove the LCD/frame assembly like some videos do. I used: lots of patience; gentle low-temperature heat gun; Dust-/lint-free workplace; antistatic mat and wrist strap; 24 Piece Muder Plunge Tool Set; lots of screen cleaning wipes and aerosol electronics cleaner + time and care to get some glue that I accidentally smeared on the LCD surface and ripped the screen off; Magnifying glass, powerful LED lights, lint-free cleaning wipes and compressed air to find and remove all stains and stains on the LCD and glass. find something very similar as a replacement. You can't just leave gaps or use thin glue, otherwise dust will get between the LCD and the screen and ruin the touch function. I found some relatively thin black double-sided tape at the hardware store that was just the right thickness to replace part of the foam that I had torn. I used a heat gun and tweezers to completely remove all of the thinner clear adhesive, then I used the extra thin double sided screen tape that came with my tool kit to replace that perimeter adhesive. I tested it with the band attached and the screen unfolded and it worked, but when fully assembled it didn't work. I was very careful to get the connection right, so I was so confident that I must have damaged the band by folding it and moving it around the center for assembly. I was ready to cry, but I unzipped the back again, snapped the cable connectors, pulled out each end of the cable, and plugged everything back in. Fixed! It's been working great for a few weeks now. No recalibration needed, touch and display everything perfectly.
