They do the job well but there are a few problems: 1.) They are not strong enough to hold heavy foods like apples, mangoes, lemons etc . .. if you carry it as a bag (by the handles). I used one of the pouches to hold a couple of apples and after just one use it started tearing the inside seam. Now I have to carry the bag like a sack so it doesn't tear anymore. 2.) You CAN use these to buy nuts in bulk, but I don't recommend doing this as the nut dust will fall through. Pocket holes and go anywhere.3.) You can machine wash them! Although I'm not sure how well they will hold up if they snap and you try. Overall I got what I paid for but if I were to buy again I would buy better quality bags.
