These bags are quite heavy compared to plastic bags, but without "tare" on the bag label, food inspectors don't know how much weight to deduct. Thus, every time you use these packs, you pay a little more for the products.

At checkout you pay an extra 0.04 for the weight of this bag (that is after you remove the black button. I removed the black bracket. That's what I wanted the weight should be less at checkout in store. Fabric is much better than other brands. Also like the different colors. Really helps reduce use of plastic that harms marine life. Stores need to give credit!

I carry these bags in canvas grocery bags in my car. I need to buy another set to keep in my husband's car. I hate using plastic. I throw them in my underwear bag in the washing machine every time I think about it. I wish more people would use them and we would use less plastic. I've heard others use them, but only saw one person in the store. They are well done. I think they need more advertising!

Working like bags. You can successfully hold on to things. My problem with them is the weight. A bag is quite heavy and there is no weight on the bag for cashiers to deduct from the purchase amount. I ended up removing the black clamps and shortening the string size. At the very least, I recommend removing the black clips. Be kind to the environment but it's like paying extra just to have them at the supermarket.

I ordered these mesh bags to get rid of the plastic bags at the supermarket. I'm trying to reduce the amount of plastic we use in our household. I was satisfied with the quality of these bags. I hope the lace and plastic strap will stand up to repeated use and washing. The only reason I gave them 4 is because they came in a large plastic bag inside a shipping box. I would like to see smarter packaging for a company that offers sustainable alternatives.

They do the job well but there are a few problems: 1.) They are not strong enough to hold heavy foods like apples, mangoes, lemons etc . .. if you carry it as a bag (by the handles). I used one of the pouches to hold a couple of apples and after just one use it started tearing the inside seam. Now I have to carry the bag like a sack so it doesn't tear anymore. 2.) These are amazing items. My family eats a lot of bananas, usually buying them in the evening and hoping they will last a week, which never happened. I was skeptical about buying these bags at first. I was afraid that my food would spoil quickly and go bad in the wash. These bags definitely exceeded all expectations.
