I bought this Serial to USB Adapter after trying a few others like Cables to Go. Although their cables work, despite my best efforts I have not been able to connect them, even with the latest drivers on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Mac OS Lion. However, I'm happy to report that this article works perfectly on both Windows 7 64-bit and Mac OS Lion. I have successfully installed and tested it in both. Windows 7 doesn't require you to install any drivers as it will automatically detect and download drivers for it. For Mac Lion you need to install the drivers that came with it or go to the FTDI website and download them. In Lion it is listed under USB Devices while in Windows you will see new drivers under Serial and USB. The bottom line is that it works as advertised, great on the latest versions of Mac Lion and Windows 7 64bit, so I'm quite happy and would highly recommend it to others.
