Terrible quality. Buy something else.

I'm not sure what kind of product the people who sent good reviews on this product received. Because what I have is a piece of junk. I live in an apartment building and my front door is about an inch off the ground. I wanted to get rid of the bugs and reduce the noise in the hall. I read the reviews on this item and it was cheap so I decided to give it a try. Big mistake! First, the adhesive strip was *not sticky*. I had a very hard time peeling off the red stripe covering the adhesive (ironically NOT because it was sticky) and when I finally peeled it off the underlying stripe just wasn't sticky. It wasn't so sticky that I re-read the "instructions" that came with this thing, thinking I missed a step and needed to activate the glue somehow. Hit him with a heat gun or something. nope! It just didn't stick. I cleaned the door thoroughly to ensure good adhesion, especially with such lousy tape, but I couldn't get this thing to stick to my door. I tried to polish it but it kept coming off and falling on the floor. I'm glad I had a can of really strong spray adhesive and tape. Between spray and tape, I finally taped the thing to the door. It doesn't look good, that's for sure, and I can already tell that some parts of it (and maybe eventually all of it) will need more glue pretty soon. At the moment he's standing in front of the door and is actually doing what he's supposed to do. make. But an item of such terrible quality would not last long. Also, I could just cut out a strip of cardboard and spray glue it on - it would be just as "functional" as this thing and wouldn't cost me anything. try to save money. My advice to anyone considering this item - don't do it! Spend a few bucks more and get something of decent quality. Maybe the factory made a crappy batch and I got that, or maybe it sat on a shelf in a warehouse for a long time until the glue dried. I definitely wouldn't buy it again and I can't recommend it either.
