I bought this printer after much research including reviews here mentioning streaks that have happened to some. I believe the banding is due to improper formatting of photos for prints (I had that). However, after some trial and error, my husband and I were able to eliminate the banding. I use a Nikon D 7200 and my RAW photos are 6000 x 4000 pixels. For example, an uncropped 4 x 6 inch photo will be sent to the printer at 1000 dpi, which is below the printer's maximum capacity. When cropping photos, we made sure that the image size corresponds to the aspect ratio of the printable area with the highest possible DPI. Whenever possible, use a resolution of 300 DPI or better for best results. It's important to properly scale your prints for printing by maintaining properly scaled aspect ratios and DPI. After that, the printer now produces nice, sharp and clear printouts without streaks. There is a learning curve, but I don't think the printer is at fault.
