Not plug and play, not recommended for CHIRP or UV-5R
I bought it because the description said there were no driver issues. Well it didn't work when I tried to connect Baofeng UV-5R to CHIRP. CHIRP just froze and I had to force CHIRP to close. I then tried to download the drivers for the cable (the description says I don't need them) and followed a link to a 37 page instruction form which was scanned or something because the image was so blurry I couldn't find some you couldn't read about it. important parts. After much fiddling I decided to send it back.
