Outside of being effectively a blunt instrument upon opening the package, this tool rates just a touch above average. This is a reasonable quality level to keep in a car for contingencies, on a white water raft for minor camp tasks, etc. If you need a daily driver sort of tool or one that "will never let you down," then one could do better but would have to spend notably more. 15" handles aren't super common, so I count that as a positive feature of this item. Time to hit it with the bench grinder and sharpeners so that it can realize its full potential. Metal quality appears adequate, so I hope for the best.
