Not bad for price in my review

This blade is a bit narrow, can't be more then 1.5" wide one vertical, one horizontal. The head ships off the handle and is ziptied to the handle. The handle is a lightweight fiberglass, but wasn't sure how it would hold up. I used on some roots growing into my yard from neighbors, about 2-4" round roots and it was sharp enough to chop into and eventually cut the root out. So it did it's job. For the price i recommend, it's not the best quality, the head just slips on and doesn't lock in place…

Pros
  • haven't used it yet, but this thing is heavy and i know that is will split wood for me..
Cons
  • This picture is right of the box. Edge guard is already split from the axe.

For the price it's nice. But it could be a tad bit better

I used the product for some mini trees. Nothing huge. It was very very easy to swing and use. Only issues was it broke after a really good swing. It was repairable but you will have to add some super glue. No issues after that though. But overall I would definitely recommend it

Pros
  • Great for work with firewood, small limbs. Good weight so I can let the axe do the work.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with allergies or respiratory issues due to dust or debris

Divot in blade near edge

Seller was quick to resolve the issue, sent a replacement of better quality, thank you.Received as a gift, blade is poorly formed. Large deficiency near blades edge, sure to break soon. You would expect manufacturer to inspect prior to distribution…

Pros
  • Works perfectly with a hammer to split firewood
Cons
  • Not ideal for use in wet or muddy conditions

Good value in my review

Good value for the money. Not as sharp as it could be but then again, it's a field axe and not a fine chisel. My techs love to grab this baby when it''s pickaxe:30.

Pros
  • My techs love to grab this baby when it's pickaxe:30
Cons
  • May not be ideal for those who prefer quieter tools

Head flew off in my review

I love the feel , the weight and how well it hold an edge. However , today after owning it for over a year , using it for maybe the tenth time on kindling , the head flew off. I'm bummed , I replace a Craftsman hatchet (that I owned for forty years) with this hoping it would be as good.

Pros
  • Used it camping, works very well z.
Cons
  • Can be dangerous to use if not handled properly

Great Product! on my review.

I was very skeptical when considering this product. Typically I will go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a brand name that's a bit more expensive when considering a product like this. Durability and quality is a must when using a tool such as this. I bought this early 2021 and it sat unused until the power when out for a week. Finally I put it to work for 3-4 days cutting firewood and held up for every swing. Very sharp and withstood a beating from a sledgehammer when cutting the bigger pieces of

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Can be difficult to control and may require extra care to prevent accidental damage

Pretty OK; prepare to sharpen.

Outside of being effectively a blunt instrument upon opening the package, this tool rates just a touch above average. This is a reasonable quality level to keep in a car for contingencies, on a white water raft for minor camp tasks, etc. If you need a daily driver sort of tool or one that "will never let you down," then one could do better but would have to spend notably more. 15" handles aren't super common, so I count that as a positive feature of this item. Time to hit it with the bench…

Pros
  • Small and durable.
Cons
  • May be difficult to use for individuals with limited dexterity

Built tough! good for me

Bought this for general use When received I was surprised at how well it fit in my hand. Very nice chopping ax That's my review!

Pros
  • Nice product but a little heavier than I thought it would be.
Cons
  • May require significant physical strength to use effectively

Just the right size!while

While driving on the trails, comes in handy to get the branches off the road so I keep away From my undercarriage. Next will be getting a small electric chainsaw.

Pros
  • Works well for the price, light weight. The sheath for the blade is a joke though.
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on hard or rocky soil

Well balanced hefty hatchet

The axe has a handle of just the right length for me and is sturdy and solid. It is pretty ideal. The head is solid, and has a nice sharp edge. It does NOT come with a sheath but I was not looking for one anyway. Very well made and I am happy with it.

Pros
  • This is a very sharp tool so be careful opening it from it's packaging!
Cons
  • May not be ideal for those who prefer lighter weight tools

Great quality & very durable

I've never had an axe this small before. My son insisted that we had to have a smaller one for our camping trip, even though the larger one that I always take works just fine. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it performs and the quality of the materials and workmanship. The blade is heat treated forged carbon steel with a weighted wedge design. It blew through bicep sized logs and was perfect for gathering kindling. The fiberglass handle makes it much lighter than I'm used to, but there's…

Pros
  • I haven't gone camping with it yet, but it should work nicely!
Cons
  • Can be difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain

Very Disappointed in my review

Sorry but I’ve given this hatchet a workout and found a) it dulls very easily and b) it’s not very effective in splitting firewood. It’s a convenient carry for the woods/camping but don’t expect it to be your go-to at home for fireplace wood and kindling. As a side note, my old hatchet got lost but it had it a full leather blade cover. The cover for this blade is not gonna stop an accident.Addendum 12/09/22 I was rather severe in the above review and I should have noted that the hatchet was…

Pros
  • We use the hatchet to clean our briar patch.
Cons
  • Can cause damage to nearby objects or structures if not used carefully

Heavy duty in my review

This is made of a heavy material which makes it seem durable. Hoping it will hold up good. Was a little harder to handle due to it bring heavier. But I prefer that over flimsy made products.

Pros
  • It's fine, what I expect. Doesn't stay sharp very long, but I needed a rough tool, it's just that.
Cons
  • May be loud and disruptive to others

Missing protective sheath as advertised

This product was advertised as having a protective sheath included. The item arrived with no sheath and a damaged blade. Disappointed.

Pros
  • Glad we knew how to sharpen an axe because this came dull. Nice axe, easy to handle.
Cons
  • May not be versatile enough for some landscaping projects

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Super dull, dangerous

The first thing I noticed was that the silicone blade protector was already torn when I received the tool. Also the blade is very dull and needs to be sharpened before first use.

Pros
  • Well made and easy to handle for splitting kindling however you will need to hone this before using
Cons
  • Too heavy to handle for extended periods of time

This Axe Is A Cutting Magician!

This is the best Hatchet I've ever had! It's exactly as described and just what I needed. This gave me super sharp one strike splits with little effort applied, I also didn’t have to sharpen it often! With its rubberized grip and lightweight feel it reduced all the exhaustion and fatigue that usually comes along with heavy garden work! Chopping my branches has never been this easy! I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a durable, strong and effective Hatchet! It gets the job done!

Pros
  • El.precio.por.alqo.muy.bueno.material.acero
Cons
  • May not be ideal for users with limited grip strength

Fires all summer long

Very easy to use and feels safe when handling. Takes a bit of effort to split the wood, but works as intended. May cause damage to adjacent plants or landscaping if not used with care.

Pros
  • nice axe for the money, light and easy to swing
Cons
  • May cause damage to adjacent plants or landscaping if not used with care

Fine, no blade cover

Chopped a Christmas tree down with it and it worked fine. But it didn’t come with a blade cover, so that’s pretty frustrating and unsafe. There’s no way to contact the company directly, so I’d have to return the whole thing for a replacement, which might also not come with a blade cover — no great solution here that doesn’t require more work for me.

Pros
  • 1.57 pounds
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with limited experience using hand tools
