Just a note on my mechanical experience. I've been doing auto repairs, including complete engine rebuilds, since high school in the '60s. I bought these instead of OEM due to the lower price. So far they have worked but I am concerned about the weak retaining springs that press the connector against the injectors under the valve cover. For that reason I didn't want to install them. It's not easy to remove the valve covers when there is a problem because you have to remove everything else to even get to the valve covers. When I installed them I checked how well the springs hold up. Most were good but some popped out with little effort which is not good for a throbbing diesel engine! I had to reshape the ones that came loose easily to make sure they didn't come loose as much as possible. The springs are thinner than the factory and there is no room to cut corners. This is my main minus for these pads. I would happily pay more for higher quality pads. If I'm more likely to bite the bullet and buy factory pads in the future, rather than risk a problem, should I replace these pads?
