Not working / IOGear said only for YOUR KVM

KVM USB cable connected to PC and PS2 side with existing KVM and neither mouse nor keyboard worked. Rebooted computer and KVM. Help. When they called IOGear they said this cable would only work with IOGear KVM. I've never heard of it and it's not mentioned on Revain or the IOGear website. I will try to return to Revane.
