horrible design by someone who doesn't use the product in real life

Spilled while pouring unless unfiltered water went all the way through the filter (can't keep closed like the old design); difficult to clean: especially from the bottom, but the whole item has cracks and crevices that are difficult to clean - impossible to simply wipe with a sponge or towel; the valve on the front spout causes splashing and uneven spout when pouring; The valve on top often gets in the way when placed under a faucet.
