I don't have an adjustable day bed so I definitely needed a footstool or to dress it up an ottoman. This round black faux leather stool hits the spot. I'm not a snob so I don't see any difference between natural and faux leather. If anything, it feels softer and more comfortable than real leather but looks like the real thing. The only assembly I had to do was screw on the legs, which was easy to do with the included L-tool. The stool looks great and because of the combination of softness and strength, I feel very comfortable sitting barefoot while watching TV . It's also a great stand for your laptop when surfing the web from your sofa. I'm medium weight and this ottoman kept me upright with no problem as I sat on it and practiced my guitar. It's also a great seat for kids! The top of the stool detaches easily, and inside you have plenty of room to stash remotes, game controllers, and other small items you have for your entertainment systems that might get lost if you just put them around randomly. As said, the ottoman is durable despite having plenty of storage space inside. I love this piece of furniture!
