Review on πŸ“± Fixcracked Touch Screen Replacement for iPad Air 1st - Digitizer Glass Assembly with WiFi Antenna Cable & Pro Tool Kit (Black) by Andrew Amzallag

It worked! UPDATE: a year later.

UPDATE: Below is my first review. Today, 13 months after purchase, my 2012 iPad is behaving like crazy, consistent with the horrific digitizer issues with ghost typing. However, I ordered the 2nd. At $25 it's worth it and I'd be happy if it lasted another year instead of buying a new iPad. My 2 year old broke our old iPad's screen in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic when all non-essential shops were closed. here in Houston, Texas. Using the online guides (iFixit) and this part, I'm happy to report that the new touchscreen works like new (knock on wood). It's only been a few hours since I assembled it, but I haven't seen any dead zones or a spooky touchscreen. Everything seems to work like new. The installation took 2 hours and is not trivial. But it worked for me and cost a total of $25 + taxes.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
